Computer systems: Computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse.
An example of a computer and monitor is an Imac. This is a monitor which is built
into the computer. An imac can range in price its starts off at £889 but can go up
to £1499. I would recommend it for graphic designs because of the way the Imac
is, it has a very large screen so it would be easier to see all the tiny
details you have to put into the design. It also has great software and
services suitable for a graphic designer and it also helps that the imac is all
built into one. An example of a keyboard is a mac keyboard which cost £59 and
they are very useful and are very soft touch. It is also very handy as the
mouse can be inserted into the keyboard at the top right hand coner. An example
of a mouse is a mac mouse, this is called the magic mouse and costs £59.
Imput devices: camer, scanner, graphics tablet
An example of a camera is Nikon Coolpix p530 digital, which is £179 and is very
useful as it has a very large storage space and an has a very high number of
pixels. An example of a scanner is the Epson perfection which is £178.45 and
this converts pictures into a digital photo on your computer screen. It is also
a high quality scanner with a dual lens system and digital ICE technologies. An
example of graphics tablet is Wacom intuos pro medium this is £299.99 and on it
you can use photoshop. It also is a pro pen tablet and had multi- touch gestures.
It also allows you to produce profession results as you can draw on it and
create your own drawing screen.
Output devices : printer, vinyl cutter, projector
An example of a printer is Brother MFC this is £199.99 and is laser all in all
printer so it is very high tech and the print outs are very clear and it has
all the latest technology built in to it which you can print all of your
documents on the computer out on it. An example of a vinyl cutter is the
Silhouette Cameo 2 which is £268.99 it has the best heat transfer and is has
the best quality when cutting. An example of a projector is an Optomo HD141X
which is £489.00 it has a full HD 1080p which gives you sharp and detailed
images and it also had full 3D. A projector projects the imagine on your screen
onto a wall of a white canvas but in a much large scale.
Storage: external hard drive.
An example of an external hard drive is the Western digital which is £49.99.
This external hard drive is a portable storage device that can be attached to a
computer through a USB, fire wire connection or wirelessly.
Software Vector, bitmap and desktop publisher.
An example of vector software is idraw on the imac. Idraw is feature vector drawing and illustration application for the MAC OSX. Bitmap software is photoshop, photoshop is available on many things but is a photographic image digitally programmed which uses photoshop image editing software. Desktop publisher is a very simple application to use, it includes easy drag and drop designing, layouts in a couple of clicks and precise and easy design tools.
