protocols and devices keep data safe they are lots of ways they keep it safe one reason being is they use a special device which is called encryption, a encryption is something which is used to protect people data and keep it hide in from other people, and secret by coding it. There are also other way to keep your device safe by having a secure password that no-one would guess, keeping your password confidential so people can't get on your site, also another way is changing your password regularly so if you do tell people you can also change it.
